The National Design Awards were conceived in 1997 by the Smithsonian Institution’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum to honor annually the most recent in a long line of American creators and inventors—designers.
Physalia is a motion-graphics and visual effects studio based in Barcelona. Since the beginning we have carried research in many fields, such as photography, video, 3D & 2D animation, stop-motion, electronics, mixed media, liveaction… that is, in many areas that don’t necessarily require sitting in front of the computer!
Typography design based on the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer. I picked out my favourite buildings as a basis for developing some expressive letter forms. Included are : Cathedral of Brasília / Niterói Contemporary Art Museum / Ghery house / Ibirapuera Park theatre / Oscar Niemeyer Museum.
